LM Connect is looking for a contracted, part-time Event & Social Media Intern to join our #workhard #playhard team this summer.

About LM Connect

LM Connect partners with ambitious brands and retailers to create the visibility, credibility, and community buzz that drive real business growth. Through strategic PR, partnerships, influencer collaborations, and high-impact events, we help brands show up, stand out, and stay relevant.

Our intern will help support a variety of client activations and community events — including high-profile FIFA match day experiences, retail activations, influencer collaborations, and other agency events — while also capturing the moments that bring these experiences to life online.

This is a hands-on opportunity to see how PR, marketing, social media, and events work together to create meaningful visibility for brands.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, setup, and execution of events and brand activations

  • Support FIFA match day experiences and fan engagement activations

  • Assist with other client and agency events

  • Capture photo and video content at events for social media

  • Help create, schedule, and post content on Instagram

  • Assist with marketing materials, guest lists, and event logistics

  • Support post-event recaps and social media highlights

  • Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, partnerships, and promotions

  • A creative thinker who can write, design, and communicate clearly

  • A fast learner with initiative — you see what needs doing and jump in

  • Fun, outgoing, and plugged into the Kansas City and Prairie Village community — you enjoy knowing what’s happening around town and where people are gathering

Technical Skills

  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

  • Canva

  • Mailchimp

  • WordPress or Squarespace experience is a plus

Details

  • Independent contractor role

  • 10+ hours per week, including evenings and weekends for events

  • Hybrid remote — Kansas City / Prairie Village availability required

  • Event hourly pay + great perks
